The California Department of Developmental Services (DDS) recently sent guidance to all regional center directors with instructions for a new IPP template. The new template, which includes written instructions for regional center service coordinators, requires the documentation of services and supports necessary to meet the desired outcomes as described in the IPP, including services available to the general public (generic services) and services purchased by the regional center.
The new IPP template, which was required by law in last year’s State Budget Trailer Bill for developmental services, will go into effect January 1, 2025. The letter from DDS, the IPP template, and the IPP Guide For Regional Centers, can be found HERE.
