This last week has been confusing for many people because of the mixed messages about safety precautions for the public given the increase of positive cases of the Delta variant of COVID-19. Is the mask mandate reinstated? Are programs going to stay open? Can you ask people who provide services to you or your family if they are vaccinated? On July 29, 2021 the Department of Developmental Services issued an updated and modified directive that extended several of the waivers that were put in place as a result of COVID-19. On August 5, 2021 the Developmental Services Taskforce will hold their monthly check in meeting to provide updates to the community. The meeting is open to the public and it is a good opportunity to hear what is going on and get the latest updates and information in the directives.
