Read the Voices of People with Disabilities This Holiday Season

The holiday season is a lovely time to curl up and catch up on reading. For those of us in the disability community it can be challenging to find stories which reflect our lives and the things that are important to us.

Thankfully, this is changing. This year I will be reading the New York Times Disability section of their Opinion page. The diversity of voices of people with disabilities included is a superb reminder of why we do the work that we do. The ideas expressed are an opportunity to break out of our silos and evaluate and create new paths for our advocacy in the new year.

If you find yourself looking for something to read during the holiday break you can find the collection here or with the link above.
