This month’s national recognition was established in 1987 by President Ronald Reagan to highlight the importance of understanding and supporting people with developmental disabilities.
Together, we will share stories about people with developmental disabilities, their caregivers and the dedicated organizations providing their services and supports to help them achieve their full potential.
Let’s break down barriers, and keep push to create a world where everyone is valued and has equal opportunities to thrive. A world where disability contributes to the rich diversity that makes our communities a more beautiful place.
