Don’t miss the next FREE webinar by the statewide Disability Thrive Initiative on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 3:00 to 4:15 p.m. to learn more about using and individualizing technology to access alternative and remote services, including:

  • Affordable options for acquiring devices and accessing the Internet;
  • Accessibility tools and how to incorporate them into your services;
  • Finding technology resources for individuals, families, and staff;
  • Training staff on how to use technology and assist individuals and families with issues;
  • Using and/or developing a lending library for devices.

Special guests from The Arc of the United States, Options For All, and The Arc of Ventura, and the San Gabriel/Pomona Regional Center will share real-world examples of how they have been successfully Unlocking Technology as a Key to Connection and Alternative Services.

To join the LIVE online event, please REGISTER EARLY at Webinar.DisabilityThriveInitiative.org.  Interpreters will be available for ASL and Spanish.

The Disability Thrive Initiative was launched in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the shift in how regional center services are currently being delivered to keep you and/or your family member as safe as possible.

Throughout 2021, the Disability Thrive Initiative will deliver free webinars, support, and a resource library to help the IDD community with the alternative services offered during the public health crisis. We strongly encourage you to take part in the webinars, and to stay connected to the Disability Thrive Initiative through their social media channels, so you can stay informed of the latest information about COVID-19 and its impact to your services.

STAY INFORMED on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.

The Disability Thrive Initiative is presented by the California Disability Services Association (CDSA) and Easterseals of Southern California (ESSC), in collaboration with the State Council on Developmental Disabilities (SCDD), The Arc of California and California Alliance for Leadership and Education (ALE), and generously funded by the California Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and San Diego Regional Center (SCDC).
