Trump Administration set to change poverty line – 1 week to submit comments

The federal poverty line (FPL) is widely understood by advocates and policymakers to be an important way in determining how low-income Californians access health and nutrition support such as Medi-Cal and CalFresh. And now, the Trump Administration is proposing to change that poverty line – without regard for how this move will affect federal poverty guidelines and people’s eligibility for vital public supports.
