SCDD’s Sacramento regional office is distributing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Eventually they will have masks, face shields, and hand sanitizer – but it is not arriving all at once, unfortunately.
PPE distribution has begun:
Phase 2: Large drive through event at ACRC, June 1, 2, 3 – see info below. This event is intended for Regional Center clients and their immediate families only. For the event at ACRC, there is NO need to register. The whole family does not need to be in the car to pick up the masks. Show up at the right time slot (see ACRC’s website) so everyone does not arrive at once – there are plenty of cloth masks for everyone.
Phase 3: Distributing bulk supplies to community based organizations, self-advocacy groups, parent groups, etc. around 10 counties.
Phase 4: Additional drive through events as needed in various regions, distribution to individuals with various disabilities, not just Regional Center clients. Locations to be determined later.

We are all in this together. Please be patient. Mass distribution of PPE is NOT in SCDD’s regular job description and they are figuring this out as they go along. They want you to have these supplies so are doing everything possible and being as creative as as they can to get these to you. There are two people heading this effort and they cover 10 counties. They are relying on your patience, understanding, and partnerships with many of you and organizations that can help us distribute.
