“Bridge” Funding Approved

Assemblyman Chris Holden (D – Los Angeles) Receives Recognition From The Arc & UCP Collaborative For His Integral Role in Securing the Bridge Funding Last Year.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) approved a waiver amendment, effective May 1, 2019, that includes authorization for a one-year rate increase of 2.1% for some providers in counties designated as “high cost.” One-time funding for service provider rate increases, pending federal approval from CMS, was included in the fiscal year 2018-19 Budget Act. The Department will provide detailed information early this week regarding implementation of these rate increases, which will be effective from May 1, 2019 – April 30, 2020.
